Born in Greece, he lives and works in Athens. He received his formal education at the National Technical University of Athens and he is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
Since his first solo exhibition in 1988, his work has been presented in many group exhibitions and 7 solo shows and he has received international awards and distinctions. He has published 3 albums and 4 Artbooks, while many of his works are in public and private collections.
In a large solo exhibition-installation in the Technopolis (Gazi) 1996, he presented his work «Metamorphoses», an elegy on the aesthetic idea of femininity with enigmatic female figures and allegorical representations on gigantic photo prints en-fenced in concrete reinforced steel grids with synchronized sound and light interventions via computer.
In the period 2007-2016, the artist makes an attempt to achieve the decomposition of the form, creating photographic images where the compact mass of matter is set aside to give way to CLEAN LIGHT. The 2017 collectible calendar of the National Printing House of Greece contains the series of Vittis work under the title «Informal Description».
In his recent work the artist has mainly been involved in creating psychographic images focusing on the perceptual understanding of the ego through the perspective of personality.
